Hand poured Soy Candles made in Australia using only the finest quality natural, sustainable and non-GM soy waxes. Natural Wicks. Burn time 20 hours +

Caring for your Soy Candle: 

When using your Soy Candle for the first time, do not extinguish the candle until the wax melts across the entire surface to the sides of vessel (this will help prevent tunnelling and creates an even burn for the duration of the candle’s ‘life’) Depending on your environment, this may take anywhere from 2-4 hours.

Trim the wick to 5 mm before each burn. (Super important!) This will promote an even burn, steady flame and will help limit sooting/mushrooming of wick.

If soot forms on the inside of your vessel, simply extinguish your candle and wait for it to cool. Then wipe with a clean damp cloth or paper towel. Trim the wick before your next burn.

Eliminate draughts from your environment where possible. Draughts decrease burn time, cause uneven burning, increased smoking and diminish scent throw.

Efficient burning means flame is not flickering, is teardrop shaped and standing upright.

If your candle begins to smoke, flicker or the flame becomes too high; extinguish your candle at once. These signs indicate the candle is not burning properly and the flame isn't controlled. Let your candle cool, trim the wick, then check for draughts before re-burning.

Maximise your scent throw by keeping windows and doors closed. 

Always store your Soy Candle in a cool, dark and dry place.

Avoid placing your Soy Candle where it will be directly exposed to the sun or harsh indoor illumination. Exposure to these may cause discolouring of your candle.

Returns/Exchange

We want you to love the products as much as we do and your shopping experience with us to be as enjoyable as possible. We do ask that you contact us with any questions - or if you would like further photos on items or would like some items styled together - we are here to help you.

We do ask however that you do shop carefully as we do not offer refunds for change of mind purchases. Products may be returned within 30 days for an exchange or credit note only. This policy is non-negotiable.You are able to use your credit on anything, for split purchases and this will not expire.

For Exchange

Our exchange policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange or store credit.

We ask that you contact us at hello@alpineabode.com.au within 30 days of receiving your item/s. We want you to be confident with your order – should you feel it is not right in description we will exchange or provide a credit note

To be eligible for an exchange or store credit, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it and must be in the original packaging

Items are to be returned to:

Alpine Abode, 221 Sharp Street Cooma, NSW 2630, within 30 days of receiving your item/s.  

We recommend that you use registered post or a traceable courier when returning an item as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit to us. For larger more expensive items we recommend taking insurance out for the item - to cover any loss or damage as we take no responsibility for this.

Upon receipt of the goods, we will issue a credit note for exchange.

We stock many brands & items that are unique + handmade. Yes they have imperfections + yes they have flaws + that's exactly why we love them. It is the mark of the artist + artisan that you are buying + supporting. We love to support handmade and fair trade products.  Some of our products are made from natural materials and therefore differ from item to item.  If you are unsure about a product, please contact us prior to purchasing and we will help you as much as we can.

Faulty Items

If an item is defective or damaged, please email us at hello@alpineabode.com.au with photographs and advise within 3 days of receiving your item. We will work with you to rectify the situation.

We don't offer exchanges or returns on sale or discounted items


Shipping

We offer Click + Collect from our Cooma store, just follow the prompts + add your details during check out. You will be notified when your order is ready for collection.

We endeavour to have accurate stock levels online, however we are human. All shipments are subject to availability. 

Standard orders placed Monday – Friday (excluding Public Holidays) will be processed and shipped within two business days. Unless the orders are on 'pre-order' status

We try our best to keep shipping costs to a minimum. We re-use boxes and packaging as often as we can to minimise waste. Sometimes our boxes aren’t the prettiest, but we promise the package inside is well looked after.
Parcels are shipped via Australia Post – you will be issued with a tracking number via email at the time of shipment.

All shipping is at the customers risk. Once items have been dispatched and tracking numbers provided, we do not hold responsibility for lost parcels, or packages damaged in transit.

Shipping is charged as per size & weight of your items purchased. We are in Rural NSW so please be aware freight times can very. Australia Post at present is having unprecedented delays that are out of our control.
